“Construction of upgrades and improvements to the Jefferson, Samples and Dexter Water Users Association, at 111 Wishbone Farm Dr. Jefferson, AR, were financed by the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission Division of Arkansas Department of Agriculture State Revolving Loan Fund (ANRC). The ANRC program is administered by the Arkansas Department of Agriculture with joint funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Arkansas. This project will replace all of the existing meters with Solid State Ultrasonic Meters and will provide water quality benefits by replacing inaccurate manual read meters with new radio read meters. The new meters will reduce the manpower needed to take the meter readings and make it much faster to read the meters allowing operators more time for operation and maintenance of the system. With new and more accurate meters, sales records will be more accurate and will free up additional funds that could go toward operation and maintenance of the system and for community residents and businesses in and near Jefferson. The ANRC programs operate around the country to provide states and communities the resources necessary to maintain and improve the infrastructure that protects our valuable water resources nationwide.
